Namunngaqqit?

THE AFFIXES -MIINNGAAQ, -MUUQ & -LIAQ

-muuq- is a verb meaning to go / head toward a place

illumuuqtunga. I am going to the house.

-miinngaaq- is another verb, meaning to come from
pinnguavimmiinngaaqtugut. We are all coming from the rec centre.
-muuq-, and -miinngaaq- are added directly to roots ending in vowels.
illumiinngaaqtut  They are coming from the house.

When they are added to a root ending in q, they delete the final q.
 qangatasuuq  airplane
qangatasuumiinngaaqtuq  She is coming from the airplane.

When they are added to a root ending in k they change the k to m:
 ilinniavik  school
ilinniavimmuuqtunga  I am going to the school.
-liaq- is an affix that has a similar meaning to -muuq-:
Kigunniaviliaqqiit? Are you going to the dentist's?
Arvialiaqtut. They are going to Arviat.

Note that when -liaq- is added to a stem ending in a consonant, it deletes the final consonant.
